Iain Cox
Iain’s experience is in designing programmes for rural development agencies, policy makers and business support organisations, and delivering innovative growth strategies, brands, products and services that are environmentally sustainable, commercially sound and practical to achieve.
He holds an MSc in Environmental Decision Making and is a professionally qualified practitioner in Water Footprinting, Social Return on Investment and Project Management. He is an experienced trainer, coach and mentor and holds a Prepare to Teach qualification.
Since 2000 he has worked with many land based organisations across horticulture and food supply chains in Wales and beyond. In 2016 he won a national ‘Sustainability Champion’ award for his pioneering work and leadership in sustainable development.
He has written several academic publications on sustainable supply chains and rural development in Wales and has presented on behalf of Welsh Government in conferences in Japan and Brussels. Recently he has chaired a conference panel discussion for Food Centre Wales and delivered key note presentations on the Circular Economy at the Policy Forum for Wales.
Evan Williams
Evan worked his way up to a senior role in a global banking corporation and was seen as the ‘public face of credit’ across the UK. Evan and his team were personally responsible for lending over £300m a month with a bad debt provision of less than 0.05%.
During this time Evan introduced standard processes and systems across the corporate credit function that were implemented nationwide and are still in place today. He was also responsible for restructuring and building of the UK corporate banking team that worked with the bank’s highest growth and most influential business customers.
In his working life Evan has seen thousands of business plans and investment proposals, understanding the best way of securing finance for businesses of all sizes and the various growth pathways to success.
Using this expertise, he established a Learning Consultancy providing e-learning and development workshops to several multi-national organisations delivering bespoke training and development programmes to support their growth plans. Due to his experience, Evan was asked to lead the Business Wales Growth Fundamentals Workshop that supports SME’s in Wales by looking at how they can build their business, understand the marketplace and penetration strategies, before moving on to look at various ways to finance the business growth.
Evan sits as a Non-Executive Director for Theatr Iolo, an award-winning theatre company that performs across the globe and provides support to young, emerging talent. He is a member of the Geological Society, an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Credit Management (CICM) and an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Banking & Finance (CIBF).
Sarah Lethbridge
Sarah is the Director of Executive Education and External Relations at Cardiff Business School. She has a great deal of experience in designing and delivering bespoke education programmes for a range of different organisations. Sarah joined the Business School’s Lean Enterprise Research Centre in 2005 where she was recruited as a Senior Research in 'Service Lean' i.e. understanding how to transfer the manufacturing improvement methodology and philosophy into the world of service. Since that time, she has worked on numerous lean projects in hospitals, universities and public and private services. She has delivered numerous executive education programmes for Ministry of Justice, Nestlé, Legal and General and Principality Building Society to help them ensure that their organisational approach to improvement its holistic and sustainable.
